Crave: A Novel of the Fallen Angels Free Audiobook Download by J. R. Ward

In the opening scene of Crave, we are introduced to Augustine in the form of a major motion picture trailer. As he is being interviewed over and over again about his life, we learn that he was born with a rare condition that made him immortal. In order to survive, Augustine had to feed off human emotion. His job as an author and movie maker focused on capturing the human condition in the most dramatic ways possible so that people could relate to each other. When his wife falls for an American filmmaker named Quintus, who has no idea of what she is, Augustine must make a decision between living out eternity with her or fighting for what he believes in - keeping humanity from becoming like him.

In this book we get a glimpse into the lives of the fallen angels. Each has their own story, but they are all related to Ward's novella in some way. I really liked how this book started with new perspectives from each character, even though it is still very much about Raziel and his quest for forgiveness.

The Fallen Angels are an elite force of supernaturally powerful beings that have been sent to Earth in order for them to protect the innocent. The Fallen Angels are the most revered, feared and hated beings on Earth. The battle is always waging and taking lives. There are those who would sacrifice their own soul if they could defeat one of these warriors.

This is a powerful book, with a powerful narrator. I've read the entire series, and he does an exceptional job telling this story as if it were his own personal story.

The main character in this book is Tessa Catherine Pierce and she's a woman who possesses extraordinary talents that her peers envy and fear when she finds herself entangled in an elaborate web of lust, crime, deceit, and murder which started when a powerful demon makes an appearance on earth.

The audio book’s narration by Eric Dove is perfect. He has an amazing voice and manages to bring the Fallen Angels and their story to life. He also manages to create a very genuine connection with the characters, which helps make this audiobook one of my favorites.
