The beginning of the novel takes place in 25 ABY (After Battle of Yavin) as Jaina Solo, Jedi Knight and her twin brother Jacen continue to search for clues about their parents. The rest of the novel is told from the perspective of Luke Skywalker, who has come back from exile to try to find his family and bring peace back to the galaxy.

'Bloodline' is a young adult science fiction novel written by Claudia Gray and published by Disney Hyperion. The story follows a young man who discovers that he has been raised by both the Jedi (who are sworn to protect him) and the Sith (who want to kill him). This dynamic of deceit and twisted light versus dark creates both the backdrop for Star Wars lore as well as an interesting perspective on how things can go wrong.

Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker, the Chosen One. He must save his wife and children who are targeted by Emperor Palpatine before they become the next generation of Jedi Knights. The Sith bloodline is a power in itself, but it can only be passed to one person.

The audiobook version of Bloodline is also available. The narrator, January LaVoy, does an amazing job with the narration of this book. She goes in depth with each character and makes it so easy to get immersed in the world.

The Last Jedi by Claudia Gray is the final book of her trilogy, and if you haven't read it yet, this one's worth a listen.
