A few days last fall, I had the chance to pick up a new book called Bayou Moon. It was a paranormal romance set in Louisiana and written by Ilona Andrews. I loved the story from start to finish and am so glad that I took the chance on this audiobook as well. Renée Raudman does an outstanding job narrating the audiobook and bringing this story alive.

Bayou Moon tells the story of two young women thrown together as they embark on a journey to find out what happened to their parents. The setting is unique and the characters are well-developed. There is also an underlying sense of danger because the two protagonists know that something bad has happened, but don't know what it is.

Ilona Andrews is known for her urban fantasy books which often feature a sexy, enigmatic hero and the heroine who loves him. This story is unique in the sense that it begins with the heroine's memories of past adventures in other worlds, where she was known as 'The Chosen.'

Bayou Moon is a fantastic and suspenseful story. The book has so many twists and turns, I barely ever knew what would happen next. It's easy to find yourself hooked by the story, fighting for survival, and rooting for our characters all at the same time.
