The audiobook is a strange concept, so many people are not used to listening to books. Lisa Kleypas has a knack for writing stories that will keep you interested until the last word. I have read all of her books and it is my favorite author. The narrator does an amazing job of bringing the story to life, I was captivated by her reading.

Seventeen year old New York City girl, Cassie, is leaving for college when she gets a chance to go back home and work for the summer and save up for her tuition. She is excited to see her parents and friends again but everything starts going wrong from the very beginning. Her father is being sent away on business during her stay, her best friend's mother let their dog die while they were at college, her aunt dies in a car accident on the way to pick them up and they find out that their neighbor killed himself.

Readers experience the story through the eyes of Prudence, who has lived a life full of mystery and intrigue. Some readers might find she's an unreliable narrator, but I found her to be fascinating and engaging. I was intrigued by the many secrets she kept throughout her life, including her relationship with her sister, Willa. Fans of historical romance will appreciate this story immensely, as it follows a more traditional path following a classic plotline.

"The Magic" tells the story of a woman, Tara, who is living as a character in her novels. When she finds out that someone has stolen her identity she needs to find out who and why before it is too late. This book can be read on many levels and provides insights into what society values and what we should be looking for in our lives.

The reason for this is that Rosalyn Landor's performance in this audiobook is so captivating and engaging. Her voice captures every emotion from a range of characters throughout the novel. The chemistry between the two main characters is palpable and makes you just want them to be together.
