Academ's Fury: Book Two of the Codex Alera Free Audiobook Download by Jim Butcher
What I can tell you about Academ's Fury: Book Two of the Codex Alera is that it is a story of survival and perseverance. This book follows Captain Caius Marius, previously seen in The Furies by none other than Jim Butcher; he has been tasked with being the Captain of the First Aleran Legion, which is made up of fierce warriors known as Couerilas who have a thirst for battle and love their country, even when they are threatened with extinction. As if that weren't enough to deal with, there's also an old enemy out there somewhere waiting to take them down. Despite all this, they soldier on and never give up.
"Alera is a realm of savage beauty, ruthless power, and cunning magic. Its harsh beauty hides a dangerous secret: the world is on the verge of slipping into oblivion. After nearly two thousand years of peace, human civilization has been thrown into chaos. And the dangerously sexy furies? They're not exactly what they seem." This book is an amazing sequel to book one in the Codex Alera series! Check out this audiobook to find out if you like it as much as I do!
The second book in the Codex Alera series is just as action-packed and exciting as the first. There are plenty of twists, turns, and surprises to keep you on your toes. The chapters in this audiobook are short so you can listen to it in one or two sittings. The narration by Kate Reading is excellent so I can't say enough about how much I love her work.
After the fire, when Araris was back in his body, he found himself holding his daughter's hand. His eyes were closed but he could feel her small hand in his and he hated himself for not being able to protect her.
In 'Academ's Fury,' the second book in Jim Butcher's amazing series, I was enthralled with every twist and turn. I loved how the cast of characters expanded, but I also loved that there was so much more to learn about the world and its history. The audiobook takes great advantage of this and adds a further dimension to the story. While still having a lot of action, it is possible to really get lost in what is going on in the story if you're listening or reading by yourself.
