A Fate of Wrath and Flame Free Audiobook Download by K. A. Tucker

Elves are disappearing. The last place they were seen was in the woods surrounding a ruined castle, and they've been missing for centuries. There used to be dozens of them near Tori's home, but now only three remain: Ailan, Lain, and Gwyneth. All three have suffered from centuries of imprisonment in the castle's dungeons as an unusual kind of elf--they're half-human and possess abilities that make them powerful yet vulnerable. When Tori gets caught up in their fight for freedom against an ancient evil--an evil with its roots deep within the walls of their ancestral castle--she is plunged into a world where she must face unimaginable power, make ultimate sacrifices to save not just herself but those she loves most, and

In this book, the protagonist is on a quest. For most of the book, he has been looking for a woman from his past that he believes is still alive. Throughout the course of his journey, however, he finds more than just the women he's searching for. He also encounters curse and dark magic, an ancient race of people known as the drake and his own dark side- Julien Valerian

The narrator is Elizabeth Klett, who does a wonderful job hosting the audiobook. The reader of this book is transported into the world of a medieval fantasy and will feel as if they are listening to an epic tale that is being told by nameless bards. The voice acting is also well done. The author has created a strong female protagonist and has given her personality and thoughts justice in this story.

A Fate of Wrath and Flame is the first in a trilogy by K. A. Tucker that focuses on the lives of three powerful women who are all destined to be at the center of a war for their own different reasons. The novel follows Brynhildr, an immortal woman who has been given one last chance to save her world from ruin before it's too late; Morrigan, the leader of a rebellion against an oppressive male-dominated society; and Lady Vivian, a noblewoman whose husband has gone missing on military duty. It was one of those books I would pick up when I needed to escape into another world, but didn't really want to spend much time with.

It's easy to feel like the world is against you when something as simple as a family gathering takes a turn for the worse. For Eden West, everything is going wrong until she meets Lucian, who seems to know what unimaginable secrets lie beneath the surface of her complicated past.

"You have a fire in your belly?" he asked. "What is that?" I smiled. "That's what my people call it," I answered. "I don't know how to say it in English." He laughed, and then pulled me to him for a kiss. "Thank you for coming here," he said, his voice as soft as the whisper of feathers on skin. But sometimes you're looking for something else entirely, sometimes you're just drawn to someone because they're not afraid to hold their own light up high and let it shine.
