The book is an audiobook because it was never intended to be a standalone novel. Instead, the author wrote this book as part of an anthology which includes three other unique stories all told by different characters in different locations. The main character and narrator is Joel Leslie, who believes he has been chosen to be the hero of a virtual reality game. This virtual reality game turns out to be really life-threatening, and it becomes difficult for him to escape his fate.

Despite the fact that I'm continually hearing how much better virtual reality will be and how soon it will get here, I'm still skeptical. However, if you're an avid reader, like me, then you know how fabulous audiobooks are. You can listen to them anywhere and anytime without the hassle of going through your physical library. So when I found out about this amazing new audiobook by Isla Olsen called 'Virtually Screwed' with Joel Leslie narrating it, I knew I had to check it out.

Virtually Screwed is a young adult novel about a girl who spends most of her time playing video games, and is stuck in a rut. One day, she discovers that she can ask video game characters for help, and when she does, she begins to grow from her gaming addiction into a more personal relationship with herself.
