"Trading in Danger" is a play-by-play of an actual negotiation that went down in 1856, during the early days of the Gold Rush. Sixteen traders are gathered together to trade supplies and they're all armed with guns, so there's no way out. The miners make extravagant promises to one another and there's a lot of backstabbing if someone doesn't do something soon. The only way to avoid bloodshed is for one person to step up and betray them all.

In a time of despair, the townspeople of Beddoe's Hollow are willing to believe the worst of one another. There is some suspicious activity, but no proof. If a mysterious stranger can make sense of it all for them, they'll be saved from their deepest fears and will stand united on the eve of great change.
