The Sixth Wedding: A 28 Summers Story Free Audiobook Download by Elin Hilderbrand

The Sixth Wedding is an audiobook by Elin Hilderbrand. Set in the summer of 1968, it tells the story of a young woman, Lillian Beckwith and her search for love during one summer. The audiobook was released on June 4, 2015 and narrated by Erin Bennett.

In the summer of his 28th year, Andrew Harrington decides to ask his estranged sister Charlotte for her hand in marriage. He has been struggling with the idea for some time, but now that he's working for a design firm and taking care of his sister's children during the school year, it seems like the perfect time to make it happen. Back in the day when they were kids, Charlotte was always more popular than he was, but now he's finally got all the pieces on his side--he's successful in his own right and she knows this--and so he takes out a ring and proposes marriage. His proposal is met with wide-eyed shock as well as an instant refusal...

'Erin Bennett' is the narrator of each audiobook in the 'The Sixth Wedding' series. The narrator does a wonderful job at bringing each character to life and makes them come alive for listeners. As you listen to this audiobook, you'll want to keep listening to find out what happens next.

This is a rather well written book that follows a young woman's journey in her early twenties. While the main character starts as a tough, independent woman who knows what she wants, she ends up getting married and then divorced fairly quickly. There are some twists and turns along the way but overall this is best suited for people who enjoy a contemporary romance novel with a happy ending.

The Sixth Wedding: A 28 Summers Story by Elin Hilderbrand is an entertaining novel about a summer in the life of two sisters who are running from their future. The sisters are forced to wait out the summer to find out if one of them will be marrying their college sweetheart. Hilderbrand's story has been compared to a Lifetime movie, and I agree. This book is full of drama and suspense.
