The School for Good Mothers is a riveting dystopian novel about the power fight between Moms, the only people in society with control over the curriculum and children, and Fathers, those who spend their days teaching children to be better fighters. It's a heart-wrenching tale of mothers struggling to keep up with education while Fathers are on top of their game.
The School for Good Mothers is an audiobook about a mother and her two daughters, who are brought together by the chance to attend a school for good mothers. There's a catch, however; the school exists because of children whose mothers were thought to be bad or in need of some type of help. The novel follows each family member as trials and tribulations arise throughout the process of attending this school.

Jessie's mother is the president of the School for Good Mothers and her father is a well-respected professor at Yale. Her mother takes a very controlling hand when it comes to what Jessie does as well as whatever family visitors do. When her sister's boyfriend gets in trouble with the police and Jessie is called on to be his alibi, things go from bad to worse.
Catherine Ho has done an amazing job narrating this audiobook for the listener. Her voice is very soothing to listen to, so it's easy to get engrossed in the story. The School for Good Mothers is a story about two women who are brought together by a terrible tragedy. They find themselves entangled in each other's lives and forced to confront their own demons, while also supporting each other through their darkness. Catherine Ho is such a good narrator that I never noticed her voice acting as characters in the book until she mentioned them!
