The Pact Free Audiobook Download by Jodi Picoult

The Pact is a suspenseful, emotional novel about a mother and daughter who are brought together by their involvement with two different cults.

The Pact by Jodi Picoult is the story of a young woman, Samantha Kingston, who leaves her fundamentalist family and changes her name to Elle. She continues to live in fear of what will happen when she returns home for Christmas, but things have already changed. Sam's father has left the church, a group of girls have taken her place in the choir, and a preacher's wife is planning to take over his pulpit.

The Pact is the story of Jacob and Birdie, who both have children with life-threatening illnesses. When they meet, they decide to commit to each other as partners in their shared struggles, which are intensified by their mutual love for their children.

The first novel of the author breaks the crime genre with a heart-wrenching story about family, love, and sacrifice.

The Pact follows an author, Toby, who has a son being bullied at school. The school only protects the children from each other and parents. Toby decides to transfer his son to another school. When he tries to argue his case with the school, they tell him that the only way they will allow this is if he agrees to not publish any books on bullying ever again because their is no such thing as bullies. Toby tells them that he will never agree to this but decides to go through with it in order for his son's sake.

There is a moment in every person's life where we cross a line and become something more than ourselves. That's the moment that everything changes. The Pact, by Jodi Picoult, is about one such moment for two people: Kate and Jake, who have been friends for as long as they can remember. One day the unthinkable happens when Jake tells Kate he has cancer and will be leaving to spend time with his family before his body gives out. This breaks the rules of their agreement which is why they signed it - never to go back on your word, never to lie to each other, always be honest.
