The Japanese Lover Free Audiobook Download by Isabel Allende

The first thing about The Japanese Lover that I noticed is that it is narrated by the perfect narrator for this book, Joanna Gleason. She has a voice that can literally put you in someone else's shoes, or at least make you feel like you are. Her narration of the story does not have any color to it which made it very difficult for me to distinguish between the different characters because they all sounded so similar. But because of her wonderful voice, I was able to get into the story and understand everything that was happening and fix my attention on what needed to be fixed.

Isabel Allende's novel tells the story Celeste, who is an American woman in her mid-forties at the start of the book, and her affair with a Japanese man named Keigo. The affair begins innocuously, but becomes progressively more complicated as Celeste and Keigo travel throughout Europe for their love affair.

The wife becomes desperate and begins looking for her husband in other parts of Japan while becoming very sick along the way. Ultimately, she finds her husband on a beach near his home and watches him from afar as he walks away without looking back.

The Japanese Lover is a novel by Isabel Allende, published in 1989. It tells the story of Eva and Eduardo, two young people who are deeply in love. They live together for several years before tragedy befalls them.

"Joanna Gleason is a brilliant performer and the book shines with her vivid voice that carries Allende's love story from Tokyo to Chile and back." Joanna Gleason delivers a captivating performance in this audiobook.
