This audiobook takes the listener on a journey through time, from the Stone Age to present day. The author gives us a detailed overview of serial killers throughout history and discusses the turn each individual had in their respective time period. Beginning with prehistoric hunters, these killers are then examined by the author's examination of modern-day killers. The author does an incredible job of explaining how each killer's personal life affected their behavior, such as how difficult it must have been for them to grow up like Ted Bundy, who was physically abused by his father yet was still able to commit so many horrific acts.

From the Stone Age to the present, serial killers have existed in all corners of the globe. From serial lust murderers to serial extorters, from sadistic fetishists to sociopathic arsonists, Vronsky sheds light on the depraved and often confusing nature of these individuals and shows how similar they are with each other.
