Number the Stars Free Audiobook Download by Lois Lowry

Number the Stars audiobook is a historical fiction novel. The story follows Annemarie, a 10-year-old girl living in Copenhagen during World War II. One night, she and her best friend Ellen go to help their family's friend Mr. Olesen hide his Jewish friends from the Nazis who are trying to find them. In the process of doing this, they have to leave their own family behind.

The audiobook is a great companion to the novel and I recommend it to everyone. It's narrated by [Blair Brown], who does an incredible job of bringing you in and immersing you into the story and the characters.

Number the Stars is a heart-wrenching story of two children, Annemarie Johansen and her best friend Ellen Rosen, who must help one another escape Nazi-occupied Denmark. Through war and hardship, these two girls bravely work together to save each other – and their country. The narrator does an amazing job bringing this book alive as she has a distinct voice for each character that makes the audiobook experience all the more fun.

Number the Stars is a very well-written, moving and suspenseful story. It is set during World War II and tells the story of two young siblings who are forced to live in their attic while their family has to stay below. You feel like you're right there with them as they struggle to survive on a sugar-free diet.
