This is the seventh book in this young adult dystopian science fiction anthology, Nothing Special. The series follows a group of teenagers, who are forced to live on a floating island called Meridian and compete for food and resources. They have to complete tasks and compete with each other in order to stay alive.

"EX Meridian" is the seventh installment of the "Nothing Special" series. If you are a fan of the series and have yet to listen to this one, you will love it! You get a lot of insight as to what is going on in Cole's life, and how he feels about his family. The story was written so well, that I couldn't help but feel for Cole throughout the entire book.

Nothing Special VII by A.E. Via is an apocalyptic thriller with a twist. The protagonist has a rare and deadly disease, the symptoms of which are unstoppable death and one last chance to save those he loves before his brain shuts down. He's given that last chance by a mysterious physician and goes to live on an isolated island where he will be given treatment for three years in return for clearing out a house on the island.

If you like the voice that this author has chosen for 'Aiden', then this is a book for you. I'm sure it was difficult to do, but there's a sense of personality and character to his narration that helps propel me through the story. It's not just about a guy who has lost his memory, but about love and family, too. This audiobook is one of my favorites and I will always have a special place in my heart for it.

I am a huge fan of this series and I was very happy to have the opportunity to listen to the audiobook. The narrator did an excellent job of bringing these characters, who are always so different from one another, to life. I found myself really rooting for certain people at their lowest points.

It's been a long time since I've been this excited about a book, and it's a grown-up escape as well. Aiden Snow does a fantastic job of changing her voice to suit both the characters and setting. The audio book is an easy listen, but still entertaining!
