Murder on the Rocks Free Audiobook Download by Allyson K. Abbott

In the summer of 1874, New York City was on high alert. Not only were there murders at every turn but it seemed as though every night someone new disappeared from their boarding house. Suddenly, the dead began to be found in bizarre and peculiar settings. One by one, strange media-savvy gentlemen began to appear with each body bearing a different symbol carved into its skin. With help from her editor, Allyson Abbott has pieced together a chilling trail of clues that leads to an alchemist’s lair beneath the streets of Manhattan.

Lesbian reporter Della Rosen is investigating the murder of a wealthy, married philanthropist in the City of Roses when she's targeted by the killer and left for dead.

From the moment I tuned in to start listening to Murder on the Rocks, I was hooked. Abbott's writing is filled with vivid descriptions and tense moments that kept me turning pages until the story came to a resolution.

In the late 1800s, Maine was the wild west-a place where Native Americans were forced off their homelands, where people were believed to be living without rules. A woman named Jane is found dead in a shallow grave on the rocks at Moose Island and Detective Theodore Adams is trying to solve her murder.

Nicole Poole has a charming voice that simulates the feeling of being right up in his ear and it's hard not to empathize with her. She also does a great job with the accents, which are ably executed and believable.
