Kingdom of the Cursed by Kerri Maniscalco is a novel that takes place in the 1800s, in a time when all girls were sent to convents and women ran away to be with husbands.

On the night of her sixteenth birthday, Nylah is stolen away from her family and whisked away to a distant continent. As she struggles to find a way to return home, Nylah finds herself in the last place she ever imagined: a cursed kingdom ruled by an evil queen.

The audiobook is narrated by Marisa Calin, a voice actress from New York. At the beginning of the story, there are multiple characters that have different accents and voices. As the story goes on and as you are introduced to new characters, they stop having an accent/voice. This was somewhat confusing at first because it felt like every character was speaking in their own dialect. I also had some issues with some of the actors being too loud/loudening certain pieces of dialogue which made it difficult to understand who was speaking.
