Brian's Winter Free Audiobook Download by Gary Paulsen

Brian's Winter is a short story written by Gary Paulsen in 1972. It was one of the stories he read to an elementary school class, which marked his first attempt of writing fiction. The story is about a young boy named Brian who has been forced to spend his winter in the woods with no food and only a dog for company.

Brian's Winter is a story about life, death, and love - told from the perspective of a snowshoe hare. When he meets the owl in the clearing of an old farmhouse one day, he knows that this will be his last winter.

In this audiobook you will be able to experience the challenges and hardships Brian faces in his journey. These include him being forced to go through a snowstorm atop of a horse, a bear attack where he gets mauled by the bear and has to fight it off with only rocks, and finally getting lost in the wilderness.

The story begins as a fugitive, Brian Robeson and his companions, head towards the woods so they can live in peace. They find an abandoned cabin in the mountains and settle in there. When they are gone, Brian's father arrives to take his son home. The father is furious when he sees how filthy and inadequate the cabin is. Meanwhile Brian's mother is dying from lung cancer.

This is a story of the struggles and successes by one boy on his journey to adulthood. He doesn't have much, but he is determined to do anything to be better than all the other kids in his torn down town, who don't respect him. His mind changes when he meets an old man at a gas station.

The book is about a boy, Brian, who lives in the North Woods of Minnesota. At the beginning of winter, his family makes a decision to pack up their house and move to town. He gets a job at a grocery store and befriends a girl named Jolene. They have a lot of fun together while they work but when spring comes they lose contact with each other because Brian returns home to live with his mother while Jolene goes back to the North Woods.
