Biting Bad Free Audiobook Download by Chloe Neill

What begins as a normal day at work turns into something more sinister when a mysterious envelope shows up in front of Rachel. Inside is an invitation to an exclusive party with all the benefits of being bitten by a vampire - but there's just one catch. The invitation was issued by her old boss - and the whole thing is a setup.

"Sophie Eastlake makes for a great narrator. Her voice is soothing and she has a good sense of pacing. She also speaks with a British accent, which I thought added to the story's humor."

Biting Bad is the first book in the Hollows series by Chloe Neill. It tells the story of witch Rachel Morgan and her journey to escape to a new life. But she never made it. Her arrival in Fairview, Pennsylvania was cut short when she was attacked by a vampire named Ivy who thought Rachel was a mortal. What begins as an all-out war between witches and vampires quickly becomes personal between two women with dark secrets and long histories.

I was introduced to this series by a colleague. I then experienced the audiobook narrated by Sophie Eastlake and fell in love with the story. While there are several other books in the series, this book is a great starting point and it is not too long. As soon as I finished, I began listening to book two - Biting Good.

On Biting Bad, the heroine, Olivia, is the daughter of a vampire and a werewolf. She's in love with another werewolf, and is terrified he'll come after her. With vampires being controlled by their bloodlust, it's difficult for them to keep from trying to drink human blood--a rarity for them because they can't do it without becoming sick. When one vampire comes looking for Olivia and decides to turn her into a vampire too, she's forced to flee her home.
