The author uses her knowledge of food history to answer questions about the spices used in the dish and how they might have been used. She also talks about some of the chemicals that can be found in Adobo and what types of health risks they may pose.

Mia P. Manansala's book is a collection of stories that are good enough to be read in one sitting, but there's something about this story that makes the protagonist feel very familiar.
