This is a story about Dru and her tiger, Kai. While he is the alpha, she is the omega. He's huge and strong and a favorite to all of the local feline shifters as well as most of the human ones in town. Most people find this laughable because she has no power over him at all but for some reason, she's not afraid of him like everyone else is.

Alpha and Omega is a novella in the On the Prowl series by Patricia Briggs. It's about a werewolf named Mercy who enters into a contract with her alpha, Owen, to take care of his pack while he's away. She didn't know how much she would learn about the pack and their responsibilities, but Mercy is resilient and more than capable of handling it.
