Susan Ericksen has narrated many audiobooks, from mystery and suspense to classics. As a narrator she excels at giving each character their own voice, and her voice is so distinctive that it can be distinguished from the other characters in an audiobook by even just one paragraph. In this particular narration of Abandoned in Death, Ericksen's voice for Eve is particularly strong and clear - Eve is a tough, but likable character.

"You know what, Ophelia? I'm glad you came," Eve Dallas murmured. "I needed a witness." Eve slid her arm around the young woman's waist, pulling her close and kissing the top of her head. Ophelia knew she was being cuddled like a child but she let Eve do what she wanted to do.
